Rifiano, a place of pilgrimage

In the religious life of the Burgraviato , Rifiano has an important role as a pilgrimage destination. This is due in part to the historical value of the merciful images in the parish church, in part to the legend of these images being found among the debris of the Passeier stream and also to the stucco sculpture, a sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin Mary which is, still today, an off-frequented destination.
The pilgrimage to the Church the Virgin Mary is a Baroque building dating from 1671, Franz Délai builder. Baroque high altar of Bartlmen Grätl; is a special masterpiece at the altars Tyrol. Especially impressive is the Pietà from around 1400 and the baptismal font from the 12th Century. In the grace chapel next to the sanctuary are meaningful Gothic frescoes from 1425.
