The walk
Starting in Moso just behind the guesthouse Lanthaler and the shoe shop Volgger, follow path E5 or the Lake Kummer path nr 43 for about 45 mins until you reach a wooden bridge. Carry on along the slightly inclining path first alongside the stream and then through woods and meadows. In the clearings you can see the unique mountain panorama and the mountain stream. The path continues up stone steps through the wood. After a further 30 – 40 mins you reach a bank where you have got a fantastic view of the picturesque valley as well as the chapel of Corvara which is situated on the hill opposite. Continue downhill, past the ruin of the farm Seehofs and then uphill on path nr 43 to Gasteigerhof in the mountain village of Rabenstein. The tarmac path leads into the centre of the village and it is possible to have a snack at the guesthouses Rabenstein and Trausberg. Return on path E5 which, at the beginning, follows the main road. After about 25 mins you will reach a turning off to your right which will lead you straight back to Moso.
The walk around the lake (Moso - Corvara - Moso) will take you about 3 hours 30 mins.
