Castle Scena
Built around 1350 as the residence of the Lords of Scena. Over the centuries the castle passed from one noble family to another and underwent several and extensive changes. In 1845 it went to Archduke Johann of Austria, who then handed it down to his heirs, the Counts of Merano, who still own it today.
Rich collection of weapons, marvellous Renaissance hall with faience stove (early 18th century), salon and dining hall with picture gallery; Tyrol's history from Margarethe Maultasch to Andreas Hofer and Archduke Johann.

Mausoleum of Scena
Neo-Gothic construction made of red sandstone and granite from the Ifinger area. Period of construction 1860 - 1869. It was built as the gravesite of Archduke Johann of Austria and his family. Underground crypt with imposing ribbed vaults. The sarcophagus in Verona marble in which the Archduke and his wife are buried.
